Posting the latest episode of SHoE here due to some tech difficulties at the main site. Here’s what to expect:

A little late on this one, but Derek, Bryan, and Steve discuss the third and fourth installments into Smallville season 11 with ‘Haunted’ and ‘Effigy’. Bryan talks in detail about where the elements of ‘Haunted’ were forged from, plus lots of other behind the scenes bits on these two episodes. Also, Derek and Steve are now Smallville canon?! Plus early discussions of ‘Argo’ and ‘Valkyrie’

Steve, Derek, and Smallville Season 11 writer Bryan Q. Miller join up to discuss the ‘Guardian’ season premiere event in detail. We take you back in time a year to the events following the finale, plus a great discussion on the ins and outs of bringing these comic book turned TV turned back to comic characters to life on the page. Not to mention dialogue on the introduction of Batman and Nightwing in 11×02, some new exclusives revolving around the next three episodes, and the biggest reveal of them all: how does Luthor Mansion fit into season 11? You won’t want to miss this!

Bonus points to the Mighty Marvel Minions who get the title reference. This episode has nothing to do with that at all. In fact, in this episode, Derek and Steve make a claim that they have already gone back on. There’s a touch of Avengers talk, a tiny bit of Poster talk, some Marvel tv talk, your emails…and Smallville. Enjoy! This episode is brought to you in part by Fandango. Episode 8 from Dec/Jan ’07/’08:

Before I get into the show description, I apologize that this took so long to get out.  I have 50 different reasons why, but let’s be honest, I wouldn’t accept the excuses so neither should you, the listener have to.  There are some things said that are a little dated.  Like “Merry Christmas”, “Happy New Year”, “How about that light bulb, what a great invention.” etc.  But hopefully, you’ll enjoy it anyway.

On this long overdue episode of the podcast, Derek from Starkville’s House of El joins me as we talk about everyone’s favorite villain, Heroes – “Villains,”  Infected villains, and the magnificent Dark Knight trailer.  This is a long one, so grab some left over egg nog, and left over turkey sandwiches and settle in for a long winter’s geek out session.

Here is Episode 7 from Dec. ’07:

While it’s not by best offering of a podcast ever, it is what it is.  In this episode I talk a Smallville, the viral campaign that is underway for THE DARK KNIGHT, JUSTICE LEAGUE casting rumors, and I answer some questions about Heroes and assign a new name or two.   Oh yeah, and David Hasslehoff comes to Geek Out Loud…sort of.  I mention him…WHILE I’M TALKING ABOUT KNIGHT RIDER.

This is the episode that was reviewed by Sci Fi Now…apparently it’s hard to stomach.   Here it is as originally posted in Nov. ’07:

This week on the podcast we have our usual Heroes and Smallville discussion.  There is a bit about the Writers’ Guild strike, and Marvel’s upcoming slate of movie projects.

Here are a few things I realize:

- I call the most recent episode of Smallville “Lara”. It’s really “Wrath.”

- I’m talking kind of fast.  At recording time I was hyped up on coffee.

- You’re listening.  I really appreciate it.

In my effort to post all nine of the first podcast, here is number 5 as it was originally posted in November of ’07:

After two weeks, Geek Out Loud returns.  On the show we talk about the new Captain America, Heroes, Justice League (again) and a litle bit about the recent happenings at whysoserious.com and Rory’s Death Kiss dot com. There is also a little Smallville talk with a huge shout out to Derek over at Starkville’s House of El for letting me sit in and guest host on their most recent episode.

This is Episode 4 of Geek Out Loud.  I am posting all 9 of the first episodes before releasing the newest episode 10.  Make sure that you are subscribed via iTunes or your podcatcher of choice as soon as possible.  Here’s what was originally posted back in November:

In this episode, BACK TO THE FUTURE gets an honorable mention, The Incredible Hulk is looking good, Justice League gives me a Smallville headache, and Heroes inspires a challenge.  I do get a little negative towards the good folks at Warner Brothers Studios, so I apologize in advance.  This is supposed to be a positive place.
